7 speed DSG

Featured Replies

Is there any sort of service you can have for the 7apeas DSG box?

Awaits George.

He's the man for this question (:

Pretty sure it's a sealed unit, so no.

Not exactly (unlike the 6 speed).

The diff and gearbox oil are seperate but neither have a service interval.

Just get a whole new one... (Like we are with a complete failure and replacement under warranty at 32k miles and only 2yrs 11mths old)!

Not impressed, but like above don't think there is any servicing possible.

Servicing is possible. Just not required.

But there is the World Wide Recall, which in the EU / UK is only a Service Campaign.

So for Free if your DQ200 DSG needs it,

Skoda UK will pay to have the Synthetic Oil changed for Mineral Oil,

and have a Software Update done.

So check if your car was one that can  have this done, and has it been done already.

It began in May 2014, but still many cars with a DQ200 DSG have not had it done.

Sometimes Dealers say cars are not needing it, so ask them in writing if they say it does not,

or ask Skoda UK Customer Services.

How it was done in New Zealand.

may i ask, to what cost a new one might roughly come to?

cheers

A member that is looking for a 2nd hand one was quoted £4,000

Odd because Skoda supply and pay about £3,000 for Main Dealerships to do them.

Ozfabia had a new DSG fitted in Australia, without needing to fight for it.

The difference in the UK is the 3 Monkey Skoda UK set up.

Deny any issues ever occur in the UK.

Mechatronic Control Units. Brain Farts and poor quality Clutch Packs,

Out of Warranty, out of luck.

World Wide Recall Countries got Extended Warranties.
