Mine works fine when reverse parking uphill..... Not had an issue at all either parking myself or with the park assist.

 

Hmmmm, maybe mine is broken    as it will roll forward. I found out about the same time I discovered that DSGs don't like the left foot braking thing....

Faulty sensor maybe? Mine certainly works exactly the same whether I'm driving forward up a hill or reversing backwards up a hill.
