Changing from fixed to variable (longlife) interval but preserving last service date.

Featured Replies

Garage appear to have incorrectly reset the service and didn't change to variable/longlife as requested so I'm going to do it myself.

The SRI reset menu button gives a message that it must be done via instruments, adaptions.

I've changed. SID to ESI and can see days & distance since last inspection in the ESI menu's which are correct.

A number of the ESI values show no data, or unreadable. Assume this is because until reset, and because the service message is showing, the SRI warning active overrides these?

What else needs to be changed, and how do I clear the service message?

I assume once reset I simply go back in and can then change the ESI values for time since inspection and mileage since inspection noted before reset back to what they were before the SRI was reset?

So I now just need to ESI reset and leave everything else alone.

Thanks.

Yes, thanks all sorted.

Only issue is it now displays the miles to next service screen every time I start.

I assume this will resolve itself when the dealer resets next time with VAS.
