Got a full hand polish with G4 polish today at my mates car wash, came up quite nice but a mechanical polish is definitely needed ;)

A fair bit has been happening as if late, aside for me getting married the car is coming along well, recent things:

Jom coils fitted,

New ball joints, track Rod ends

Adjustable drop links,

Boost pipe from inlet manifold deleted,

Catch can installed,

Smoke tested twice,

Rolled twice, 207bhp ( fixed boost leak) then 211.9bhp with 265 foot pound,

New rubber ( T1R's in 205 40 17 flavour)

N75 setup fixed with tyre valve picky mod,

Back box delete with 2.5"rear ss section to astra vxr tail pipe,

Sun strip,

Now for the down pipe and decat plus a ss mid section to hunt down 230bhp ;-)

Not the best picture,

The red arrow shows the tyre valve, it's in the intercooler hard pipe supplying the n75 with a constant boost feed.

Was that taken on a potato? Haha

What does it do and what benifit?

The n75 needs a constant supply of boost so it can work properly, the std hard pipe has a nipple for the pipe to connect to, my aftermarket pipe kid didn't, I took a boost feed from the t peace to the dv but evry time it dumped the n75 lost pressure, it's a picky mod as the obvious thing to do was to Tig weld a aluminum nipple on but that coasts about £30, the tyre valve was £1 and it didn't coast nowt to drill a 13mm hole in the pipe lol

Ah i see, i was thinking you was tricking the n75 in some way. I understand now, nice cheap mod then.

It was mate, I wish I could trick it off my engine and save me no end of hassle lol :-) ;-) :-)

Update time:

Fitted the bora leather and black carpet, didn't take much time at all tbh, realy happy with the result, much cleaner looking!!

Moved my boost gauge and made a custom center vent plate and dash tray blank plate in fake carbon, gives it a wrc car look for the dash, more wrc influence to come for the dash!!

Got my hands on a classic Sti spoiler to so saving fir paint now!!

Upgraded the frount door speakers but they don't fit lol, waiting for some mdf spacers so they are in reverse for the time being lol!!!

if you were going for that setup why didnt you go for k04-023 turbo, Tip, 3inch downpipe, and 386cc injectors

you could have used a twin pass from a golf mk4 IC and keep the front end chassis rails tied together, the slam bar reinforces the front of the car and improves handling

Needing to get spacers for the speaker's so they can get fitted the right way lol

It is lol its stage one with 212bhp and 370 foot pound running 22 psi settling @ 18-19psi so it produces a lot of heat .

Looked into the twin pass and herd bad things about the heat transfer from hot to cold side pipes, a tuning place round my way done a temp test and the twin pass was much hotter on the cold side than the setup I have,

Looking at turbo upgrades but not the std setup, possibly a side winder with screamer pipe and external waste gate, would probably run a k04 hybrid tbh, but and it's a big but...... cash is hard to come by this time of year with the fat man round the corner and 2 kids lol
