Super Skoda rear stainless steel step for Combi

Featured Replies

Hi, I could not find this on the forum, so sorry if I am repeating it.

Has anybody purchased the Superskoda stainless steel rear step for the Superb Combi.

If so is it difficult to fit correctly and whilst it looks good in the pictures is it????

I have the plain polished one. Pictures somewhere on the forum if you search.....

hey

so I have one installed.

its a few strips of double sided sticky tape underneath, which is all the fixing it has.

you clean down the bumper space with a supplied wipe (a glue accelerator as far as I could see)

then pull off the protector strips from the double sided stick (this was actually the hardest/fiddleist bit) and then you line it up, and pop it down. the rear edge has a very small lip, so its easy enough to line it up if you hold it vertically, then use the edge to align it to the edge of the bumper in the centre.

its not a perfect fit though (which you will see as you line it up). if you do what I did, and get the center of the thing correctly on, then there is a slight gap from the lip to the bumper at each end. its less than a mm.

hope that helps

I have one of the ribbed ones, looks good, I like a bit of bling!, (may get the stainless door handle trims when available)

Easy to fit but you only get one chance to get it right!
