vRS stereo has eaten my CD.

Featured Replies

Went to eject a CD on the way home this evening.

When I press and hold Eject, the display says ejecting and cuts to stereo but nothing happens to the CD, it's still in there somewhere. Any ideas before I ring the dealer tomorrow?

Yes, I could hear (and see) it playing! :P

Just been out and given it a little 'tap' (not with an axe  ) and it's coughed it up :)

Was a burnt CD...

How did you get it to eat that?

My stereo didnt eat anything I gave it, especially vegetables, and certainly nothing that was burnt. Pah, stereos today eh. I expect its just a phase.

I've had zero problems so far with burnt CDs, even CD-RW's, which is nice. Means I get to be fickle and burn a few tracks to CD-RW then wipe them a few days later when I get bored. My previous 2 cars have well and truly dispised CD-RWs and been picky with cheap CD-Rs.
