What's the best oil to use for my BLT 2007 VRS?

E/ my dads asking about some 5/30 or 5/40 fully synthetic oil he saw in home bargains for 13.99 branded rock oils or something, asking if it's OK to use on my PD130

Millers Nanodrive EE 5w40. As long as it says VW 505.01 or VW 507 on the bottle it will be fine

It has to have special REVO oil because of the remap silly.

I think some of the fun-poking in this thread is too much. The OP never mentioned SE or Special Edition, just that it's a 2007 BLT engined vRS.

What he really wanted to know is should his dad buy that oil in Home Bargains or not. I've had PD engined VAG cars for 18 years now and I still look in the handbook before I buy topping-up oil. Those xxx.xx number codes are a bit confusing.
