Centre display KMPH v MPH

Featured Replies

Hi - new here

Picked up a 2012 vRS today and in the centre display the Trip shows "miles" but the speed display is in KMPH

Is it possible to change the speed display to MPH?

Cheers

I think you have to change the country to Australia or something like that with VCDS to get that display to MPH.

Have a check in the settings on the maxidot first just to make sure there isn't an option.

No, there is no option, it drives me mad.....unless of course i was driving abroad then I would welcome it, swings and roundabouts I suppose, unless I never go abroad, then it would drive me mad, until the day i decide to go abroad, then I would welcome it........

Unless you have it vcds, then it can be altered.

As above its a simple change with VCDS to tell the car it's in Australia, did it on mine.

Australia keeps everything else OK like MPG.

As others have said,it can be changed using VCDS, (Thanks Tom....) but it only takes a few seconds & two unticks (?) in the Maxidot to return to the original

display, which we did yesterday when we sold the Octavia.

(The small km/h digital speedo may look odd, but it's there ;cos there's no km/h speed ring in the analogue speedo, & there's an EU (?) requirement to show

the car's speed in both Imperial & Metric numbers.)
