How far into placing your order for a new car can you add further upgrades?

How far are you in ? I contacted my dealer about 2 weeks from first order and he had to email SkodaUK, I added kessy and got the OK 

I ordered about 4 weeks ago but havent heard anything since might ring them they can only say no.

Until you have a build date allocated from the factory you should be able to change your order or add/delete some options.

Changing the specification can have a positive or negative effect on the delivery time.

Usually the dealer will tell you it will put your order to the back of the queue but they don't really know this as the order scheduling is completely down to the factory.

If you ordered within a specific offer period (such a 0% finance) and then change the order outside of this offer then I think you lose the original offer.....that's what my dealer told me anyway when I wanted to add stuff to mine after the original 0% deal in 2014.

I was told 3 weeks before production week was the final date for any changes. I added smart link just before the 3 weeks and it was fine so.
