Cheap Alarm Module

Featured Replies

Would you bother with the below?

My 2005 Octavia has a failed alarm module, with the below VCDS scan.

1 Fault Found:
01134 - Alarm Horn (H12)
000 - -

I assume the battery is dead as it's probably the original.

Second hand ones are available on eBay for around £20, but when will the battery fail in those?

This new one is available for £23.

Same part no as mine. I assume as it's a replacement, it will simply bolt in and plug in?

Well I took the plunge and ordered this.

It tuned up in about 10 days. Not bad from China to the UK, tracked.

Exactly the same as the unit I took out. Even the same casing.

Fitted straight in and works no problem. I now have a working alarm :)

A saving of over £100 if buying a "genuine" new unit from Skoda.
