I need some help regarding my car since there is no service centre in the region to inspect the problem.

Recently while driving the car I tried to shift the gear but it refused to change from neutral to first gear (since I was going to incline at a steep road). However with slight force I shifted the gear. And after inclining the steep road I parked the car in the corner and while the car was in first gear, I switched off the engine. After that the car refuses to go back to neutral or to any gear: the clutch is however free. Even after pressing full clutch the gear does not change. One local mechanic forcefully moved the gear to normal and we bled the fluid for possibility of air, but no relief.

The car has run only 22000 kms so far.

Please suggest what could be the possible problem.

i had this problem yesterday it was just the nut that holds the selector lever on top of the gearbox just under the air intake ducting from the filter remove these tighten the nut done in 10 mins
