Contacts in Phone system

Featured Replies

I have paired our 2 iPhones with the Yeti phone system and the hands free works just fine.

The only slight problem is that in the "Favourites" there is no image shown although there are images in the Contacts list on the iPhone.

It obviously is no big deal but it would be nice to have the pictures shown.

Is there anything special I need to do?

Ours (Android 5.0.2) transferred the images for the callers OK but if then any are updated it does not pick them up.

Not quite the same scenario but I have been having problems recently with my contacts list being completely empty when I go to it. I'm still troubleshooting what is happening but at the moment it looks as if everything is OK if my phone is in range, switched on and bliuetooth enabled when I start the car. If I start the car and everything initializes and only then switch my phone on or enable bluetooth, this is when the problem occurs. Problem is it's not consistent so it might be a fault??

oops - double post

You don't say which Yeti phone system you have?

The pictures transferred OK from my Windows Phone to my contacts on my Amundsen II. There was an option on the phone when the contacts were first downloaded to include pictures.

"Show pictures" is a setting in phone>settings.

I presume you've checked this is ticked ?

Should add mine have all transferred and show as "favourites" on my bolero.

Brilliant technology !!

Thanks to all for responses. I think Urrell may have hit the spot. When I first paired the phone I had no images on my contacts list. However after seeing the rather drab looking Favourites display I thought it might be nice to add pictures. I put them in the phone, and - apparently incorrectly ! - expected that the next time I connected the car phone system would add them when it updated.

I suppose I will have to delete all my contacts, or perhaps the phone?, and then pair it again. I will try that when I have a little time to play.

Thanks graham47 yes I had checked that option, although not until after I added the pictures.

Incidentally I just have the bog standard radio, no Sat-Nav or other goodies. What is wrong with maps. :D  ? In any case I can always use the satnav on the phone if really stuck in strange places. As we hardly ever go anywhere that we don't know well it seemed  unnecessary.

I think that deleting the phone and then pairing it again should sort it although a "Refresh" or "Synchronise" would have been easier.

Thanks, I didn't see a Refresh or Synchronise option I will have a look and try that first.

The Refresh and Synchronise was just a wish on my part.

Tried today deleting one of the phones and reinstalling it, managed to loose ALL the pictures that were there for the contacts :swear:

Have you tried adding a "dummy" contact in your phone.

Next time you get in the cavr it should re-synchronise but not sure if all or only that one.

You can then delete "dummy" later.

Created a dummy contact with associated picture on my phone.
The car saw and downloaded the contact as soon as it was switched on but no picture
