Adding a rear wiper?

Hi! Does anyone know if it's possible to add rear wiper to a MkIi Hatch that hasn't got one?

 

I'm from China and I own a MkII vRS Hatch. Since there's only one trim level for my car, I couldn't get a rear wiper, so I've been thinking about adding one as it's quite useful. Apparently, apart from wiring, I'll need a new rear windscreen(better a tailgate?), a motor, a switch behind the wheel, and some parts for water spray system. Is there anything else?

You'll need new glass but the tailgate might be OK. Other than that I think you've loosely mentioned most things, wiper motor, wiper, switch, some wiring and then a pump and tube for the washer fluid.

Tailgate - seems to only be one version, probably worth checking yours for a mounting point?

I was hoping to get the original coding to see how close my guess work is! Depends what diagnostic tools NOSDylan has...

Yeah they are standard on CN-Spec FL MkII cars. Here are two photos from the Internet.

VCDS, version 11.2 I guess? The real problem for now is that I can't get some of the parts I need :no:

That is a very old version of the VCDS software. The current version is 15.7.4

Not sure that software that old will even be useable on a FL?

Yeah it's usable. I was told my data cable only support this version so I couldn't upgrade unless I got a proper cable
