Does my Fabia have a DPF?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've had a quick interweb search and haven't stumbled across a definitive answer to this question so I'm hoping someone knowledgeable here can point me in the right direction.

I've read a few threads here on the subject of DPF's and it got me wondering if my 10 plate 1.4tdi Fabia 2 was fitted with one?, so is there an obvious/foolproof way to tell?.

Thanks for your time. Matt

If it's a Fabia '2' trim level then it's a pre-facelift and it won't have a DPF.

As I understand it, the Greenline was the only pre-facelift Fabia to have a DPF.

I can confirm there is no dpf. As above, only the greenline model had this. I have the same car as you btw

Is it a pre-facelift greenline?

Right, I've had a quick look on Wikipedia and my Fabia appears to be pre-facelift (it was purchased at the end of march 2010) and it's not a Greenline, so it doesn't have a DPF. Thanks for your help guys. Matt

Yep, definitely a pre facelift car :)

The trim levels went 1,2,3 on the pre facelift.

On the facelift they went back to ambiente, elegance etc.

But when people say Fabia 2, you never know if they mean mk2, or trim level 2 (SE) on a pre-FL aha.

I'm pretty sure that any diesel car made after 2009 has one, in 2009 they made it law to fit them to all diesel cars, and only in the past 12 months has it became an not fail if it's not there.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I'm correct

All 1.9Tdi and 1.9sdi fabias are DPF free. There are some 2010 reg (10 reg) ones around. So the 1.9tdi Fabia was still being sold in 2010. Some octavia`s started having DPF` as early as 2006.

Thanks for the 'dpf' related link m8t, very useful.

I've checked my service book sticker against the codes given on the link website, and the code (0GG) confirms it, no DPF.

Thanks again to you all for your input on this. Matt
