Help photo of petrol cap please.

Featured Replies

I have had my car repaired and I think that the painted part of the petrol cap on the outside of the car is above the flush. I now can't remember if it was like that before or not.

Could someone post a close up of theirs side on to put my mind at rest or continue my crusade with the bodyshop please?

I dont understand what you mean by "above the flush"?? Do you mean the flap rather than the cap?

i take it you mean the flap sticks out since the repairs??? i.e. it doesnt look like its sitting flush with the res tof the bodywork???

Does this help?

That photo is what I'm after thanks, any chance of a closer one looking along the panel if you know what I mean?

That one is from my photo "library" and I'm currently at work. Trust me though, the cap fits perfectly flush with the rest of the body. I can see it from here and it is a perfect fit.

If you're protrudes I suggest it is wrong.

same with mine... once closed its perfectly flsuh with the rest of the panel...

i take it the damage to your car meant you had to have a new petrol cap / flap and your not totally happy with the results?

Attached are some piccys of our octy cap... HTHs

Looks like you'rs sticks out a lot in the 3rd pic, Richard ;)

Thanks for the pictures at least I have something I can print off to show the garage if I'm still not happy with it.

This will be the third time they have said the repairs are complete and I've had to send it back not happy so I would recommend not using Elder and Paton in Perth as a repair/bodyshop if I were you.
