For interest, was it parked on the flat ?.

Has it got a sunroof? If so, drain hoses could be blocked/kinked/wrongly routed.

Yes it has a sunroof. Where abouts are the drain holes? It was parked front down by about 6"

I had this problem on a Roomster from new. It had a recall to reseal the windscreen, removed the screen replaced the seal and refitted, no further trouble. Apparently the robot that extrudes the seal took a one second break each time and it left a gap in the seal.

What next!

Robots taking a smoko!

I had this on my L&K.

An inch of water on the pax side after heavy rain.

It was a kinked drain tube, fixed under warranty.

I had no more problems, but I decided I could live without a sunroof on my latest Yeti.
