Hi  just wondering if anyone else had this problem. I have for two years run a 2008 Petrol VRS Octavia in black with full leather. Vehicle was direct from the police and yes they had it modified and compared to two standard VRS I have owned their is a huge difference in the performance. The problem is the sat  Nav unit centre all works fine but the screen fades and comes back . All connections have been checked behind unit and at engine bay. Has anyone out there come across this problem ?  

Nt come across that particular fault. Does it actually fade, or does it go dark (there's a difference) because there's a light sensor on the top right hand side of the unit. People have sometimes fitted a handsfree kit which covers the sensor and confuses it.
