parking sensors

Hi All,

 

The parking sensors are faulty on my superb... when I put it in gear (forward or backwards, it doesn't matter), I get a loud beep for 4-5 seconds and the button by the gearstick flashes at means nothing comes up in the display...ie pic of car and lines for distance.

 

Whats up?

Only yesterday I replaced a faulty front sensor on my car. To check the sensors turn on the ignition, do not start the engine, put the gear lever in reverse and then get down on your hands and knees and put your ear directly up to each sensor in turn. If you hear a very gentle clicking noise from the sensor it is working ok but if there is no sound it or the wiring to it is faulty. Do it when the background noise is low or you may not hear the clicks which are very quiet.
