Octy II sun Visors

Featured Replies

I can't believe that no one has mentioned the obvious fact that Skoda have removed the absolutley brilliant invention on the Mk 1 - the little central sun visor. I didn't realise it was missing until the other day when there was sun blazing in between the 2 main visors and I reached for the central one only to find it no longer exists! What were they thinking of??

Not required on the MKII the screen now has a "shaded" area between the visors that does a far better job than the drop down flap.

The drop down flap is useless if you are short and have the seat height set to low. This problem is eliminated on the MKII.

hmmm the shaded area wiill be the useless black dotted area through which the sun was dazzling me yesterday? I agree that if you're short the visor wouldn't me much use but then that applies to the main ones too and I don't think they'd bin those :-)

Sorry but the third visor was a great thing and the new shading in the screen is useless :(

Had a similar problem on my old Primera - friend made me a really neat DIY job that fitted on the driver's visor, on the surface that faces you when the visor is down. When that was flapped down, you could just slide a plastic piece left across the unshaded bit of the top of the windscreen. To fold the visor up again you just moved the "extension" back to the right. Not "original equipment" but well made, very effective and cheap [as in like, nothing.]

Must say I haven't noticed this problem on my Mk. 2 Octy.

I also think the visor is a good idea, I'll have to rob the one off my Mk1 before I sell it
