USB volume

Featured Replies

Picked up my new Octavia this week. I connected my iPod (Classic) via the USB input. The volume has to be turned up to at least 75% and, no, I don't want to blow the doors off. My last Octavia had the option to increase the volume of the Media input. Factory default was quiet, but medium or loud could be selected via the Media menu. On the new one, the AUX and Bluetooth inputs have this option, but not the USB one. Is there a reason and/or fix for this?

Have you got the volume turned up on the iPod itself? If you have an iPhone try connecting that via USB and see if that gives a similar volume output? I'm not sure if you could alter the settings via VCDS

Thanks for that. I'll check the iPod's volume settings.

I guess its a "bug" in the MIB2 firmware (my MIB1 in my 2014 vRS has all three options like you had previously).

I can choose quiet, normal or loud for the USB, Bluetooth & Aux inputs.

There is a thread of all the VCDS modifications buts as far as I remember there werent any options relating to the multimedia unit.

Maybe AndyVee or Xpower would be able to confirm for sure.

Your other option is to ask the dealer but I can guess what the answer might be.
