Bolero quaestion ?

Featured Replies

Havent got the new  Fabia yet, but just occurred to me that the Bolero might not be able to play my collection of cd's

Is this the case only able to use smart phone for recorded music ?

If this is the case are there any alternatives to possible fitting some other  cd  playable   device ?

Umm, I use USB flash drive - way more convenient to surf through all the albums. Just rip the CDs in whatever format and stick them all in at once :)

SD card slot in the glovebox also.

Download the manual and have a read.

I'm currently ripping my entire collection of CD's (thousands) onto a memory card. its taking me a lifetime but its slowly working. Its nice when its ripped and I have all the album info on screen.

I think I even posted a thread about it ages ago - I am disappointed about not having a CD player. I can see why Skoda have done it to bring in new technology and times are moving on - CD's are becoming obsolete, but I did like having tangible CD's, with arguably better sound quality.

But yes, its either via phone, USB or SD card - I only rip to SD card as I don't want a USB sticking out the whole time.

I would dedicate some time to rip it all to SD card. Once its all done - it's done. (that's what I keep saying anyway!)

Well, I use one of these, and it's absolutely unnoticeable. Especially with the Fabia build, where the console hangs over the USB port:

As for better sound quality - use Flac, it's a lossless format.

already got a 128gb sd card in place working fine. 64 gb wouldn't cover it! it would still stick out - not for me.

I should use flac you're right. I'm just finding it a whole lot quicker to mp3/mp4.

I might upgrade the very best songs to flac. lol.

I am also using Bluetooth audio to listen content from Spotify/Tidal android applications from my phone.

Working great. For instance when playing from Tidal app you can use steering wheel/Bolero buttons to skip songs/stop/pause/play.

Due to the further delays in delivering my newish Fabia se l my dealer is offering to fit the Kenwood addon navigator..

Has anyone experience of this unit.. Would much appreciate any feedback on this option

cheers jeleoto

It integrates very well, gives full sat nav for a lot less than the factory version:

even though that looks exactly the same as my Garmin satnav.. I prefer my satnav being high up, above the dash, rather than having to look down.. which is probably more dangerous..
