Dry Bush and Dashboard Vibration

Featured Replies

My partners 1.2 TSI Monte Carlo has developed a creaking noise going over speed bumps and a vibration from the drivers side of the dash.  I took it back to the dealer who came out on a quick test drive with me. He said that the creak was a dry bush and just ignored most of my attempts to get him to answer the dashboard vibration.  Uninterested he reported that this was "nothing to worry about".  What's your thoughts?

Who was He that came out, a Trained Skoda Technician, a Salesperson or the Dealer Principal?

Call Skoda UK Customer Services who the Warranty is with and raise a case and ask which Competent Dealership you should leave your car with and collect a Courtesy car from until yours is fit for purpose.

Maybe the Service Manager or Dealer Principal can give over their non creaky car and drive yours a few days.

Some Skoda Dealerships deserve to lose their Franchise, and sadly the good ones have already lost theirs,

Skoda / VW like shiny and forget customers.

Rant Over.

I'm not quite sure what his position is. I remember him from the small dent incident that appeared on my Superb.  I handed the car into them as requested for a software update (recall issue) and they handed back with a small dent and chip on the rear passenger door insisting that it must have been like that when I handed it in and saying that "that's old, it's got rust in it".  The car was 2 weeks old at the time (still doesn't have rust in it).

The dealer is Park's Skoda Hamilton.  Do I have to use a franchised dealer or would a "Good Independent Garage" be authorised to carry out warranty work?

Ahh,  that explains lots.

Maybe 'Gordon is a moron' came out and drove your car.

He who says 1 litre in 500 miles is acceptable use, and spark plugs need not be changed until 70,000 miles even on engines

with a known problem where one plug sometimes does not see half the 40,000 Scheduled change,

The service desk says 5w 40 VW 502 00 is Semi Synthetic and you can not use that.

They are a joke.

Call Skoda UK Customer Services, problem is where do you go, AC.  or better to Ingrams.

Maybe Email Skoda UK of your experience, and forward it to Parks of Hamilton and to Gordon Clifton.

How about Henry's in Glasgow? Is there service department any better?

Yes,  that would be best.

I am in Hamilton next week and will be in there having a nosey around and lugging in to how they behave in Parks.

Unbelievable sometimes, and that is not slander or liable as i can bring forward customers that have had to get Skoda UK CS to step in because of incompetence there.

Some lovely cars they have sitting around not selling.

Lots of cars registered and then just getting reduced and reduced in price.

They must have some satisfied customers, but that seems to be more luck than good management.

I went in (twice) recently requesting that they quote me for a new Superb SE-L.  Both times we went through the spec's and we agreed that they would contact me with best price the next day.  Both occasions they failed to supply a quote, I ordered elsewhere.  Strange when we had bought their Monte Demo just a few months beforehand.  Somethings not quite right there.
