Halfords, don't stock as far as I can tell

 

Wilco, have their own breakout fuse, bit crap as its a use once only deal

 

Maplins sell a whole dashcam kit, bit unnecessary, its not for dashcam anyway so no use to me.

 

Is there really no one that stocks this kind of thing in a real live actual, not online, store ?

The time you've spent checking, you could have ordered one online and got it delivered tomorrow.

Bought mine off ebay delivered a couple of days later for a couple of quid.

I got a couple of Amazon.

silly question time but I'm not near the car - is it a micro piggy back fuse?

I got one for the Fabia II this time around but also planned to check them out as I could be using them on the Fabia I and Octy III at some point also.

Std size fuse on the Fabia II (which has normal and mini, I think). 

I ordered a normal to suss out and will be able to use it on one of my cars no matter what.

I think the Fabia I has a mix of both like the II, though may be mistaken on that point.

 

No dissing the other forums but I think expertise on car changes is probably more heavy on the earlier model forums like the I (for one reason, its been out longer and there are more people with them simply),

getting hold of these taps isn't specific to any model hence only reason I asked here.

Stick it in the rear wiper fuse and job sorted.

Make sure its in the right way round so if the fuse blows it stops providing power to the accessory on the break out.

The right side of the fuse (closest to the front of the car) has always been the live feed side when i've tested them

Thanks for pointing that out - but nah that isnt as good when you can get the ones online half that, and only need a new fuse if it blows ?

 

That breakout will need to be replaced if the fuse goes ? Not for me.

 

You can get them at Wilco cheaper btw, I could get one immediate but prefer to get hold of the double fused type if I can.

Just checked and I paid £3.20 for mine from eBay..... This post in my car thread gives the full shopping list for my dash cam.
