I've used this myself and found it an absolute breeze to lay on and take off.

Applied a damp applicator (few sprays of QD) and put down in very thin straight lines & removed after ten minutes.

Did you apply to thick?

No really thin didnt leave it that long about 1 minute. I normally use harley wax, which is the easiest thing i know to put on and off. Wonder if its a bad batch just purchased in last couple of weeks.

Very odd indeed there mate...

As Karl says - apply thin and allow to cure for a short period 5 - 10mins maybe?

A moist applicator, weak QD mix applies - does help.

You say you left it 1 minute.... not really much of a cure time.

Only other major influencing factor would be panel temperature perhaps?

Some waxes if not left to cure properly can cause problems.

Smearing etc can be a real pig. Could be worth looking at the cure times. Also the temperature will play a small part too.

It was clogging the micro fibre, and a pig to remove. Finished with harly wax an absolute breeze. Use bilt hammer wash which is an awesome product, but not happy with this at all.

See you are using it with a detailer, its not mentioned anywhere to do it that way. But still dont think that was the problem, if id left that on 5 minutes i wouldnt of got it off.

Did you apply in the sun ?

Swipe test before removal?

No not applied in the sun, i would rate this like a tin out of poundland and the like. The polish was hazed over when i tried to take off , i did a panal at a time then tried removing, tried being the opperative.

I have done a few cars and never used a wax like it. Car was washed and fully clayed before hand.

Certainly the cure time is one to vary and test results.... I also looked on the BH website:-

How To Use:

Thoroughly wash vehicle with hot soapy water, only use salt-free automotive shampoos.
Do not use wash and wax products.  Dry vehicle using chamois leather, or synthetic equivalent.

double speed-wax is not an abrasive polish, if your paintwork is faded, feels rough or has not been polished for a long period it will be necessary to use an abrasive polish and/or paint clay before application.
Once prepared in this way regular application of double speed-wax will maintain a high gloss finish without the need for further use of abrasive polishes.

Work on shaded cool panels. Using the sponge applicator provided apply in light circular motions extremely sparingly and allow to dull for approx 5-10 minutes.
Buff to a high shine using the blue micro fibre cloth provided - turn frequently.

Occasionally under certain humid application conditions the applied film may bloom after initial application and buffing.
The bloom will disappear once the film is fully cured, or it can be removed immediately with a wipe down / buff with a slightly damp buffing cloth.
This is a characteristic of the T1 carnauba wax used in the manufacture of this product.

Both applicator pad and micro fibre cloth can be washed for re use.  Do not use fabric conditioner.

Applicator pad should be stored away from direct sunlight."
