Dab reception

Featured Replies

Hope someone can help . I've got a Kenwood dnx525dab unit in my car . The reception is good for local stations and Radio2 (sorry age thing ) but where I am in South Ayrshire Scotland it won't pick up Absolute 80s among others . The Ariel is the stick on glass one that came with it .

Is there any better aftermarket ariels .

Cheers

I've used either calearo or hirschman roof antennas, they both sell a combi version which replaces the OE bee-sting but is dual band AM/FM & DAB with a booster built into the base.

They are not cheap but well worth it.

Thanks for the info I've stumbled over dabonwheels and will invest in one .

Next thing is fitting it I bet that's not easy

Pop off the roof liner (just held in by the screws holding the handles etc)

This gives you access to the underside of the aerial and the cable length till it goes into the a pillar
