What type LED for Reading Light Bulbs ?

Featured Replies

Can any one recommend what LED bulb is required for the reading lights & where to get them. I am looking at replacing them with LED asap.

Model : MK3 SEL 1.2 tsi.  Many thanks in advance.

Regards.

They are w5w LED bulbs, you don't need to use canbus ones as they're not monitored by the in car fault diagnosis system.

I just got mine from eBay, they're about £2 a pair delivered, this is the 3rd car I've had them in.

Hi Gazbull,

Thanks for the info. Any chance of a link for the supplier on ebay ?

I've had them in since new laser June/July so not sure which ones they were.

Just search w5w led bulbs, not sure where you're based but I always use UK sellers so they arrive quicker.

You can use canbus bulbs if you want but you don't need to, to be honest they're not much more to buy but £2 or there abouts should get you a pair delivered.
