New alloys what tryes ?

Featured Replies

Spotted some alloys I like and just after a point in the right direction with tyre brands and sizes

Car 1.9tdi pd100 2002

Diameter 17"

Offset 35

Rim width 7j

I have a set of 20mm spacers too if these will help slide wider tyres under, also I want to lower the car 35mm will this be ok?

205/40 are spot on on a 7 inch wide wheel.

Spacers don't really make any difference to what tyres fit,it's the width of the wheel really.

I'm currently using Vredestein ultrac,excellent tyres :)

What's your budget for the tyres?

budget really isn't too much of an issue, I usually get Michelin ps3's

I still like the Eagle F1's.  Although I am thinking of going back to the Bridgestone Turanzas or Avon ZV5's on the Fab.  All three I found very good on the Fab, but the F1's suited me best.

I've just stuck some Apollo 4G's on the van to try them out and they seem alright.  Slight lack of feedback under heavy breaking, but quiet until about 75.

The Eagle f1s are very good. Had those on my beast of a Saab, would imagine they'd be good on anything the way they drove.
