Launch control or not?

Featured Replies

I have a 2014 Superb TDI 170 with DSG6. The owner's manual mentions a launch control feature bring available in some models. I tried the sequence, but it doesn't seem to work. Is there some way to check with VCDS if I have this feature, and maybe even enable it if it isn't enabled?

It works on my 2012 Octavia vrs

Turn off traction control

Put in s mode, hold left foot on brake and hold down accelerator with right foot and it revs up engine.

Then release brake and if goes.

Engine needs to be up to temp otherwise it doesn't work

Might be that it is only enabled on vrs and the superb v6. But it would be nice if I could see it with VCDS somehow

I've no idea, I have vcds and haven't seen such an option.

As said though it needs to be properly warmed up to activate.

It's obvious without actually launching that it's activated though as the engine will rev to around 2500 rpm and you won't feel it pulling against the brake.
