ACC

Featured Replies

One for the boffins. When ACC reduces your speed, does it also activate the brake lights ?

On my 2016 Superb I can not see if the lights come on, a worry if someone is following closely.

Can you advise.

I've certainly seen the reflection of brake lights on the back of signs and the like with ACC but I think it only applies when it is actively having to brake the car to scrub off speed. So I can't say if it always does or only when it needs to apply a predetermined amount of braking force.

It does brake and brake light do turn on but only when deceleration with engine braking is not enough. A have stupid sticker for 4 year warranty right below rear middle brake light and can clearly see reflection of the light in the sticker.

That has always been one of the first thing I do when I get a new car.....get rid of the stickers! though saying that....I am tempted to join "wheel whores" and get one of their stickers!!!!!!
