Twin rear exhausts

Featured Replies

Has anyone fitted twin exhausts on the rear bumpers as on the 4x4? Have seen this on the net somewhere. Is it possible with a standard 1.4 TSI?

Hi ! Yes I think it's possible. Their is more info if you search. Trouble is one side would just be for show.

The tailpipe trims are not available on their own, if you want genuine tailpipes then currently the only option is to buy the back boxes from a 280.

Personally I will probably just wait and fit the chrome trim from the Sportlines rear diffuser.

Skoda could have made a feature of exhausts on all models.

Best that Skoda concentrate on Build Quality, Fundamental Design and Manufacturing and longevity of the different models they produce.

The 1.4TSI is not going to gain performance in anyway from the Twin Exhausts, and as it is useless bling is often just a way of bumping the price to customers.

Keeping the car lighter with less tat added will achieve more.

VW & Audi do enough cosmetic enhancements to some of their tarted up models, and tail pipes for look / style over function if that is your bag.

They love the use of R-Line & S-Line when it is just Sporty Trims & Looks rather then any performance improvement the buyer is getting.

I agree with what GoneOffSKi says but I also see your side Agplant100. Theirs something about seeing the exhaust pipes. Must be a bloke thing because I remember been fascinated by them when I was a kid....

Then the more pipes the car had the faster it went ! I remember seeing an e-type that had about 6 exhaust pipes when I was around 6. Never forgotten it.

The thing is where theirs a will theirs a way. If you want some kind of trims on your 1.4 you can have them. Don't necessarily need to be the type that you see on the 280.....

I think the asymmetry bothers some more than others.

Personally I feel the design is better balanced with a symmetrical look, each to their own though.

Nothing better than a nicely polished exhaust!
