I wolud like to buy imported from the Czech Republic Skoda Favorit Black Line of 1993.

On the Web is really little information about this version, but after a few information taken from foreign sites I think that the car is original, fully equipped corresponding line Black Line.

 

The current owner thinks that this is a very rare type, produced only 1.5 years so he want a larger amount than for a similar car in the standard version.

 

Are there any experts in this topic? Is that Skoda actually has some collectible value?

I turn to you for help, as the experts on the subject.

Going back a long way in my soggy memory here - the Blackline was a "limited edition" Skoda Favorit, basically based around the GLXiE, so trim and equipment levels as per that model, but with the addition of black paint and (IIRC) a gold pinstripe.

 

It was only produced for a little while BUT my memory seems to recall it being later than 1993 - I had a 93 Favorit many years ago and don't recall the black ones being around then - they were more around 1995 - towards the end of the production run (other, "limited edition" models, again from memory, were the Silverline and "CD" models around the time that the Favorit was being phased out and the Felicia introduced).

 

As to whether it is "worth" substantially more than a standard car, frankly, I'd have my doubts unless it really is an absolutely mint, completely rot-free example. They're not quite at the "collectible classic" stage yet, unless absolutely 100% mint condition, rot-free, low mileage and with a decent SH.

They do seem to have a slightly higher value, like the similar Silverline, but I think it's wishful thinking of the seller to ask a much higher price. If ANY model of Favorit is original and in mint condition they can be worth quite a bit more, but such examples are extremely rare.

I think the earlier (pre-VW) models are perhaps slightly more collectible, but again, only if mint.

 

Can you get any pictures and post them up? Any idea of SH?
