Towbar instructions - 1K0 907 383E

Featured Replies

Hi, just bought a used towbar set and I'm about to install it into my '10 Octavia 1.9TDI 4x4.

Does anybody know where I can get the wiring instructions for part # 1K0 907 383E

Well, just found out though a local Skoda dealer, that I am unable to use this wiring kit since it only supposed to be used on cars up to 2008.

Hmm.. okay, good to know, this is what the dealer sent me.

I believe TPI 2017949 relates to updating the CAN gateway software.

The info from the dealer suggests that cars up to 2008 will need the CAN gateway update to use the 1K0 907 383 E module. 2009 onwards should already have a new enough CAN gateway and not need the update :)

Try dropping PF Jones an email. They'll know what you need and supply it too.

Was unable to find the wiring kit on this site > https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz/erwin/

I compared these wiring kit to the .pdf instructions from Right Connections, they are somewhat simular but not good enough. > http://www.rightconnections.co.uk/sites/default/files/29220508RC%20Piktogramm%20Skoda%20Octavia%20Limousine%20ab%2006-04,%20Combi%20ab%2001-05_3.pdf

So this is what I'm dealing with, got it from a local used part store. If anyone has the OEM instruction sheet that would be great.
