Price increase

Featured Replies

I see that a new brochure is out for April 2016.

It shows an increase of £465 for the tdi 150 ps dsg and same for the 190.

Have not looked at the other models.

Options seem to be much the same.

Oops. I mean for the l&k. Have not looked at the other variants.

That because of the MY17.

No doubt down to the value of sterling, or the lack of it. Just look how it’s plunged against the euro in recent months. And there’s plenty more downside if the opinion polls are close.

I notice a recent slight increase in Irish list prices across the range as well

The LED exterior light package which was L&K has moved to SE L Executive. The rest looks much the same to me.

So the SE loses the mirror boarding spots, hmmm. Wonder what else they've shaved off.

That seems to go some way towards clarifying that the SE-L gets the extended LED tail lights - that was never clear in the brochure previously and caused a good deal of confusion/questions on the forum...

Without sounding stupid, what does this mean exactly? I only ask because our SE-L was delivered last week, and I was surprised to see it has crisp white LED puddle lights in the wing mirrors. The Octavia courtesy car we had sported the usual dull, drab yellowish lights, and I did wonder why ours seemed to have LED when I hadn't paid any extra. I was actually geared up to buy replacement (LED) bulbs online to retrofit, until it turned up with them. Maybe they already made a change? Or maybe I'm mixed up as usual. :D

Do you have a link to the new brochure please? Thank you

This does not have the external led package as standard for the L&K though.

Edit: I see why, they are standard on the SE L now! I do not even have them on my L&K...

Problem solved, thanks

Interesting. My L&K is full LED outside, so yours should be too. It was 'standard' when I ordered mine last September

TBH given that this is something you will never, ever see I can't see why people bother speccing external LED stuff.

Now there's an idea........a 10ft long selfie stick for when I am  driving so I can see how cool I look, think I will patent it!

Will check again then, maybe I am mistaken. Thanks.

LED exterior light package (LED rear tail lights high, registration plate illumination and boarding spots)"

The rear lights look much better when they include the LED’s in the hatch, several owners who ordered the SE Business are disappointed about them not being included (SE L & L&K only as std).

The number plate lights are much crisper, but I can see why people are not bothered about them... personal preference.

The boarding spots are VERY noticeable when you open the door in the dark.

It’s a bit like the non LED DRL’s personally I think they look very naff and wouldn’t buy another car with them.

Ultimately though at the end of the day some people just see it as transport from A to B and are happy enough with the std spec on the base model, others though still ’need’ to spec an L&K up to their requirements.

It’s the same with engines, why opt for anything more than the smaller petrol or diesel?? simply because people want better
