Skoda 2012 green line 1.6cr oil

Featured Replies

Hi bought a 1.6cr 2012 skoda that's been on long life service

It's coming up to a service soon

I want to revert back toting and distance service not long life

I know I need 507 spec 5w30 but do I have to use long life type

Just buy this stuff:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Quantum-Longlife-3-5W-30-Fully-Synthetic-Engine-Oil-5-Litre-Bottle-SPECIAL-PRICE-/252337512864?

It's the genuine long life 507 spec oil at a bargain price!

And for fixed no you don't have to use the long life oil but as you say you need a low ash 507 oil like this and at that price why even bother looking elsewhere (Euro Car Parts charge over £30 for a bottle of Triple QX oil).

Thanks for that Phil.

Is this oil the stuff produced by vag and is it as good as castrol

What's the oil capacity with filter removal. Some sites say 3.8 others 4.3 and manual say 4.3

What are the best filters to use.mann, crossland, Bosch or genuine

Thanks

It's not made by vag but it's the stuff they always use.

I think 3.8 is without DPF and 4.3 is with DPF so yours will be 4.3.

I normally buy a Bosch. You can get them for less than £4 on ebay and I trust that they're good quality made by Bosch.

Mann and Crossland are also good if you want to save a £1-ish.
