Noticed something odd with my vRS. Indicators work ok, cancel normally, then for some reason I can hear the relay in the dash having a fit after they are off. It's not energising the lights, just clicking for a few seconds after.

Any ideas where to start looking?

The indicator relay is the hazard switch.

Had this in the wife's Leon and my Octy. Remove the hazard warning switch and replace - the relay and switch are one part and it's a one minute job.

Buuut... Before you do that, spray some air or contact cleaner into the stalk switch area, as could just be a dodgy or dusty stalk connection. It's worked well for others for years...

Yeah, as said, the entire hazard switch / lamp unit in the centre of the dash does everything. And it's well-known on here as a failure item.

 

I had to do mine two years ago - however, don't be put off by a decent Ebay item either - the one I bought was, in my opinion, more nicely made than the original - and it's still going strong now.
