I have just acquired a 1 year old Octavia 1600 Estate Elegance and wish to remove some of the destinations in the SatNav memory but cannot find how to do this.  Surely there must be a way but I cannot find it in the manual or make anything do this.

Have a look at page 48 in the Infotainment manual.

In Navigation Main Menu press setup, then go to manage memory,

There is an option Delete User Data, press this and you can then select the data to be deleted

My page 48 of manual is all about split screen and compass.   When I go to manage memory I see an option to delete user data.  If I press this all I am offered is to delete ALL data.  When I do delete this, I does not do anything and all the data, mine and previous user is still there.  Is there a command to set the unit to factory settings?

Had to go out and check mine as I rarely use the satnav.

It's as it says in the manual, in the Navigation Settings under Manage Memory and after pressing Delete User Data, I get 5 options:

• Last Destinations
• Destination Memory
• Entered Towns
• Home Address
• Flag Destinations

I did do the latest maps update but i don't know if that would also have put more options in the settings.

There are different manuals available on-line for the various hardware versions and build dates (software versions). Have a look for the right PDF.

I know I am 3 years late. I have exactly the same problem with my 2106 Octavia. Until recently it was possible to delete data as instructed in the manual then suddenly  the delete function  stopped. Did you ever resolve the problem?

Wow 2106 model Octavia that must be the Mk16 as Skoda tend to use 7 year life cycles. It must be very advanced. When you hit 88mph does it go back in time and change into a Mk2 from 2006 or the Mk3 from 2016?
