Hi I have bulbs fitted into the daylight running lights but they don't seem to activate. I have tried what it says about the indicator stalk in the manual but to no avail. Any suggestions what it might be?

Have you got access to VCDS? An autoscan would be good

As above, most FL non-vRS Octavia's with DRL's left the factory without the DRL's activated.

 

Once 'activated' you can then turn them on/off using the instructions in the manual.

 

Cheers for your replies gents. Beggars belief that they can leave the factory in that state but I suppose nothing should surprise me about VAG!

My 2012 model was the same. I used Carista to activate it using an iPad and a WiFi OBD11 diagnostic reader for a cost of less than £20. You can add many other features at the same time. Do a search on here to see what others have done.

One "gotcha" I found is that when using Wifi, the engine must be running. Took a while to find that out.
