Front anti roll bar bushes octavia mk1 vrs

Featured Replies

As per title folks. Apologies if its already been covered. I need to change the bushes as the car handles and knocks about badly at the minute and i'm going to put 23mm poly's onto the car. What the easiest way to change them if any? I will also change the drop-links too while I'm there.

23mm will be too big for the standard ARB. I think it's 17mm diameter but has plastic sleeves on which are prone to cracking. You could take the plastic sleeves off then get 17mm bushes.

I had a garage do mine (and fit 23mm R32 anti roll bar at the same time) so the only tip I have for the job would be to have both wheels off the ground so that you're not working against the ARB.

That's wicked mate. Cheers for the information. I will probably change the arb to a r32 arb and 23mm poly's at the same time and get the whole job out the way while I'm at it. I might even get a mechanic to do it as all my tools for the car are back in Scotland at home. Unless anyone here wants to earn a couple of quid helping me out? lol :D

Get yourself some longer bolts, I THINK they are m8 x like 50mm you want. This allows you to get the clamps started, once you've done that you take the bolts out and put the correct length (30mm?) ones back in.

Sorry I can't give you specific sizes, I seem to have lost where I wrote down the sizes.
