Figured how to disable the feature but decided to enabled it again, How do i extend the wash from every 5 (i think it is)  washes of the windscreen to something like 10 times that then triggers the headlight wash ?   thanks.

Do you have VCDS?

It's in the adaptions.

Not sure it's possible on a pre-FL, instead I think it's more common to adjust the washer delay as described here http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/177313-anyone-altered-headlamp-wash-settings-for-an-octy2/?p=2151997

 

On the FL, there is an adaption channel (26?) to set how often the headlight washers are used.
