Rallycross Pug Debut

Featured Replies

A lot of hard work has gone into the pug in the past few months, and it is now time to test what difference all the work has had on the overall performance of the car, and also to get use to the handling with all the weight missing from it.

It is not 100% ready yet, but i would say we are 80% there now (all major work done) and so now i'm going to have a play in it this weekend at a trackday @ elvington.

If any of you briskodians are @ elvington this weekend, pop over and say hello.

I'll let you know how we get on.

Good luck Si !

It's a bit far away for me to bring the pom poms, but I'll be in spirit with you whilst shopping with SWMBO ;)

Yesterday was a total success!!!

The pug ran perfectly and was "on the pace" i expected.

We ran a total of 8 sessions (6 dry and 2 wet)

This was a fantastic learning experiance about the car and it's handling. As expected, we where not the fastest thing in a straight line, but through the bends nothing could touch us!! (infact i overtook, going round the outside, a tvr cerberra)

We also learned a lot about the tyres we use (yokohama a048) and how to get the best out of them.

As always, we had a few "moments" on track where we tried to push the boundries on a wet track, but nothing too major. (we had a moment where the car had 2 wheels about 2 foot in the air!!)

Over all, it was a great day and gave us valuable experiance for next session

Well done Si, now all you need to get used to is people using the back of your car as their brakes ;):D
