Following my earlier post...If considering remote closing of an estate rear door, be aware, as I was, that my car has been towbar prepped.

 

If you purchased your estate 2nd hand - it's worthwhile finding out prior to seeking this "Mod"

Sorry for any confusion. I think that it is the twin rear fog light mod and the tow bar prep that may cause the issues.

When recoded the fogs will not work with trailer electrics connected - I guess that this is so that the trailer lights or light bar on a tow bar mounted bike rack would have the fog lights fitted / on. Obviously without trailer electrics connected I could not test this to be 100% certain.

How can you tell if the car has tow bar prep?
