Clicking noise from front windows

Featured Replies

Since I got my car (ex demo) I had clicking noise in drivers window when opening and closing. The noise is less noticeable or completely gone when there is rain. I'm not completely sure but I think the same noise comes from passenger window too. Sprayed silicon lubricant on side rails but that did not help. Anybody had similar noise from their windows? Is this normal or should I book it for a service?

Talking about strange noise, I have "plasticy" (for lack of better word) noise coming from drivers side mirror when folding and unfolding. It is as if case is not properly shut so the motor is straining it somehow. But on inspection, I can't see nothing wrong with the mirror at all. The noise doesn't come on passenger side. Is yours noisy as mine?

My mirrors sound like they struggle when folding compared to other cars I have had/driven.

The motor sounds like it's understrain a bit but I'm hoping it loosens up in time.

Second that. My driver's side mirror creaks away when folding.

As long as it loosens up as opposed to gives up lol, they don't sound very confidence inspiring do they!

Third that.

I was thinking of a quick blast of ptfe spray - it's definitely plastic on plastic.

Yeah.. The join just sounds dry. I have some silcone spray I was thinking of using...but then just thought sod it.. Its under warranty...

One thing I did test was opening and closing stood at the front of the car and the mirrors do close at the same speed.

Yes, creaking sound on drivere side mirror is annoying! I had 2008 Civic Sedan before Superb and side mirrors folded like hot knife trough butter.

Anyone with clicking noise on windows?

There's a noise from my fully closed driver's window at speed like its rubbing slightly against the frame.  The windows go up and down without any strange noises.  The mirror motors do sound like they're struggling and the driver's door mirror takes a little bit longer to finish moving compared with the passenger side mirror.
