Amundsen SDcard music

Featured Replies

Hello, I use an SDcard in my Amundsen unit to store & play my music. The music is copied across from my PC, having previously been ripped from a CD. I have copied across a dozen complete albums, plus about 50 individual 'favourite' tracks from other albums. These favourites are stored together in a folder on the SDcard called 'Others'.

The problem is that when I display a list of my music on the Amundsen, the favourites show up as 50 separate tracks, rather than in a 'Others' folder. (The complete albums show as albums, no problem).

Has anyone else met this, & what should I do please?. Thanks.

I've done the same on mine. A load of albums onto the card plus a folder with individual tracks which I named "Misc" and it shows as such in the list on the Amundsen.

Sorry, that was of absolutely no help whatsoever, was it?

No but thanks anyway, it proves that the fault is at my end. Question is, what are we doing differently ?

Do you create the Misc folder using the usual Windows methods ?

Not sure about your Amundsen but on my MIB1 Bolero you can only view files on SD card or USB stick as folders/files. In other words, the Bolero does not build a database using Artist/Album/Genre etc info that may be embedded in the music files.

Is your Amundesn doing this? If so you may be able to select "Folder" view somehow. If not then ignore what I've just said.

I only need or use the folder/file view of my music.

Top left of the screen there are Tabs, if you touch the Folder tab you should see your folder listed.
