VCDS accidently turned ESC off?

I was trying to activate Indirect TPMS on my 2013 mk3 octavia 1.2 TSI ambition. It seems my ABS unit does not support it as It has 29 byte coding instead of 30 byte that shown in the posts. I reverted all the changes but it seems I just broke something? Look at the attached pics, My swing radio now shows "ESC: deactivated" instead of "ASR on/off". Also my Swing Radio shows the clock "00:00" or "--:--"

I will get and post the latest autoscan tomorrow. So any idea what did go wrong? Is there any hope to fix it with VCDS or I will need to visit a dealer.

VCDS Version: Release 12.12.3

Two things, not 100% about , but on MK7 golf which has same ABS unit (ROW/USA get manual handbrake Europe get EPB) the ABS unit has ESC & TPMS built in to factory ABS unit coding. The ABS unit talks to the CAN gateway & the infotainment systems. So if you have the feature on the infotainment screen it is there.

 

I only state this as it is a common upgrade to retro-fit the TPMS & the ESC direct buttons which are not always done at the factory. These involve wiring between a switched live to the new switch & then to the ABS unit...pin39 for the ESC & pin 41 for TPMS. Have you done this & wired to the wrong pin of the ABS unit?

 

If the above is not your case then DO NOT use that version of VCDS on your car as it is well known to cause problems on MK7 Golfs....which use the same control units! You have to buy a proper VCDS cable & use the latest version 15.7 I think..

    Well, I did not know this. I read about my2015-2016 MIB2 units requires >15.7.3 but did not thought will be problem for me as my car is my2013. I did some adaptations three years ago when I get my car like Left mirror down on reverse, DRL settings on swing menu and needle sweeping etc without any problem and did not do anything for three years. I just saw some one enabled TPMS on briskoda and was eager to try it. Anyways thanks for the hint I will update to 15.7.4 and report back.

     

    On the other hand any of you can check your 5F admap for theese values?

    It seems Swing Radio does not show the clock because it is not active? And ASR on/off menu shows "ESC: deactivated" because it is set to "Comfort data bus" instead of "Suspension data bus"? I will be glad if anyone can check and write the original values for these adaptation maps. And I feel like an idiot that I did not saved all controllers coding and admaps before doing anything.

    Thank you for the admaps :) First I will update to latest version and read all the admaps and coding again before trying anything when I have time. Can you also post your 03-abs controller autocan and admap for referance? I will do a 250 km trip and I want to believe ABS/ESC system is working and it is just 5F controller can't read ESC data. 

    My ABS scan &  admap done last year, mind you I think one part is altered for the ESC sport setting...

    How the hell do you get the data to remain in a table format^^^^^...?????

     

    I updated to 15.7.4 and fixed the clock and brake (asr) settings as your admap. After restarting Swing with pressing on/off button +10 sec, I see it is fixed. I also realized that some other menu options are absent in Swing Car Menu like Driver weariness system. I enabled it with success. Now I need to check if some other things are absent.

     

    Even with latest version of VCDS, my ABS-03 coding has 29 bytes instead of 30 like yours. So it seems no TPMS for me.

    BTW you just use "Code Tag <>" and insert your autoscans and admaps there :)

    Please, I have the same problem on my octavia III Ambition.
    (ESC off) and I did not understand how you fixed the problem.
    You must know that I do not know how to use the VCDS but my mechanic uses it.

    Can you help me please !!!
