Is there an engine manual or anything that will tell me how many tappets are in my engine? I've tried a google search but cannot really find any information on them at all.

 

Also does anybody know the labour time it would take to replace them all?

 

Car is in the garage today to diagnose a ticking noise under load - I think it's a ticking injector (That's only just been fitted!) they had a quick look last week after fitting the injector and thought it was Hydraulic lifters - I've changed the oil and the noise is the same so they're having a proper look today.

If it's one of the engine codes on this page, it looks like it's a 16-valve engine, 4-cylinder, 4 valves per cylinder.  I think that implies 16 lifters. I don't know much about diesel engines though, so hopefully someone else can confirm.

I believe it's CAYC engine code.
