Just a bit curious.

How many "brisko" are from Sweden and how did you find this place.

I stumbled in here when serching for information about my ordered car. Trying to find "black line" parts for my s3. Going to get a black grill and black trim for the lower grill were its now a chrome bit. Found it all at superskoda! What do you guys think about the parts quality from superskoda? Roof bars thinking about wrapping I carbon fiber. Last piece of the puzzle is a flat bottom steering wheel. But for now I'm waiting for a wheel from the sportline so all the buttons are the same. Can say that I'm happy for finding this page. Lots of good and helpful members!

Your buttons will fit the O3 flat bottomed steering wheel, you then have a Sportline wheel!

(This is what I have done and IMO it's MUCH better)

When I compare the s3 and o3 wheel there is one button on the right side that's not the same!

I did the same, bought the wheel with no buttons and just fitted the ones from the original, easy.

The standard wheel is the worst thing on the S3, cheap looking and cheap feeling, the flatbottomed perforated wheel should have been on the car in the first place, especially on the L&Ks.

Disagree. Why fit a "sporty" steering wheel to a big barge that is everything except sporty? :) Each to their own of course. A flat bottomed steering wheel is great in a Golf GTI, TT etc., but in a Superb? No thanks.

Agreed which is why I swapped them over.

The FBSW was actually (a lot) cheaper than the round perforated leather wheel.

As Phil said it also feels much better ... To us at least.

Gizmo68, is that the flat bottomed steering wheel from the Octavia 3 VRS that you fitted?

Have you got the Superskoda part number please?

The empty wheel I got was part number STW204

I did not change the wheel because it was sporty, I hate sporty, but because the original wheel felt horrible to the touch, looked cheap and really annoyed me.

Here it is fitted

Loved the look of it.

Was it an easy swap?

I won't be doing anything on my own cause I'm to nervous to do something wrong. But if I ordered a fbsw without buttons a skoda workshop could do it in a matter of minutes for me? Is it a special kind I need to get when I have dsg paddles and lhd?

Yes it is easy swap but disconnect the battery!

Mine does not have the paddles, if yours does then it is a different part number.

Just a bit curious.

Found the site 6 years ago when we decided on the S2 that we just parted with. Was our first Skoda so I was looking to find as much information as I could at the time. We had a five month delivery time which at the end of the day went quite quickly with the help of Briskoda. The same this time round with our S3. A very helpful site with great tips.

Correct, I did use my existing buttons though as the vRS wheel doesn't have the assist button.

Straight swap no coding.

I have tried to code a non OE flappy paddle S3 to use paddles (with the correct wheel) but the coding has so far eluded me.

Sounds good, need to think about stitching colour as the current steering wheel with paddles has black and the options are red or silver and I have beige leather/interior plastics with the piano black strip between the beige plastic and "Clocks", decisions, decisions!

Gizmo, an unrelated question, can you increase the number of flashes from the standard 3 for lane change indication using VCDS as your don't seem to be able to via. the infotainment interface?

You can also get black stitched wheels, I have silver with beige leather and they go well together IMO.

Yes there is still the option to change the flashes from 1 to 5 (with VCDS) I have not personally checked to see if it works though.
