Hi folks, continuing decision making about which VRS to get. I'm impressed with the spec (toys etc) of the 230, but every pic I've seen of the wheels (see below), they look appalling ! They appear to be 2 tone, with normal alloy colour on the outer edges.However, I was down at my local dealer today, and they had a VRS with the 18" version, and they looked totally different in the flesh, very nice.

Any info/comments/pics would be appreciated.

There is not an 18" version of the black xtremes that appear on the 230, or any VRs. They are diamond cut, hence the alloy colour on the face. Very much a marmite choice, but I love them!

 

I quite like the 230 wheels, these are my standard 18's which are also two toned. Im sure someone would be up for a swap, Im kinda tempted myself if it wasnt for the hassle of declaring them!

Nezman is spot on. IMO they are on the money.

Wouldn't mind a swap of my anthracite extremes for gloss black 230's

The 18" wheels are different than the one you've pictured.

The standard 18" vRS ones are similar in colour to the 19's on the standard vRS (silver on the front, metallicy-grey everywhere else); the VRS 230 has black wheels with silver edges (as your picture).

Maybe have a look at the standard 19's, see if you prefer the grey over the black of the 230 ones. Alternatively, you can get the 18's in silver.

Or, depending how large your purse is, get them anyway and then get them painted/powder coated your prefered colour

The 230 ones, doubt it. Standard xtremes, yes have a look in the for sale section.

I wonder how hard it would be to strip and repaint black the anthracite ones...?

Wouldn't think it's overly hard...but probably not cost effective if I'm to be honest
