Anyone tried this brake deal ebay?

Featured Replies

Furbie needs rear brakes for MOT again, even though the new calipers are less than 2 years old.  That doesn't trouble me too much as I was looking into upgrading the brakes anyway.  I almost purchased a TT/4 Motion Kit before I remembered that even with the spacers and longer bolts, fitment of AWD rear brakes on the Fabia can still lead to the carrier rubbing the disc.  I then started looking at other kits, and am waiting on Dingbro getting back to me about an octy set up, and an ebay seller getting back to me regarding a full set off of an 25th anniversary golf.

Whilst waiting and browsing, this offer came up, and I wondered if anyone had any experience of the company/seller and their offer.  They have two offers, one at about £140 without carriers and this one at £220 with carriers.

Any opinions and experiences are welcome.

Yeh I have. We're OK to deal with delivery was 3 or 4 days from memory and I got the red coloured ones. The quality off the finish on the calipers was not 100% if I'm honest it looked as if it had been chipped and was touched up with a stick rather than a paint brush. Not a major issue as I had to paint them anyway to match the fronts.

Overall I would use them again and if you need them quickly then message them through eBay to see if it is possible?

Hope that helps?

Cheers

I used them for rear calipers and they were all good :)

Excellent. Ta very muchly everyone. Dingbro were £64 per caliper, £26 for disks and £11 for pads but don't do carriers, so was hoping for a favourable return on this. Don't like buying used unless I know where they have come from kind of thing....and don't like monkeying about with me brakes. I'll get onto it right away.

Actually while I am on, is it OK to fit the bigger rear brakes before upgrading the fronts? It won't cause brake issues will it? I assume not but these always enter my head cause I'm an unlucky sod!

Thanks

Should be fine, rears only do about 30% of the braking so even if you do go bigger, there will still be a bias towards the front.
