Hi all I've gotta renew the rear pads on my 06 octavia 1.9tdi...does the pistons rewind the normal way or does either side turn the wrong way round to retract the piston thanks

Both are right hand thread so screw in clockwise.

This sounds cheeky, but it's not meant to be. It's been a while since I have rewound rear pistons, so I must admit I have forgotten. I know what I am going to do next time this job comes up on my car, just rewind slowly until I see which way they are going, in or out. If it's in, keep going. If it's out, stop!

You got there before me Tech1e, so he should now know the answer. I don't think my memory is as good as yours, as I had forgotten.
