Advice sought on H&R springs

Featured Replies

Looking to lower my 1.2tsi 105 hatchback monte carlo on some H&R springs

I have hit a stumbling block as 2 types seem available. Can anybody confirm which ones are correct for my car?

Something about weight ratings

These

Or these

There should be front and rear axle weights on the VIN sticker, either the one in your boot or the one in the service book. If front axle weight is under 900kg, then you want the first option. If it's over 900kg, you want the second option.

That will be the ones to suit the 1.2 TSI rather than those for the 1.6TDI CR

Had a look in the book, paper sticker thing pretty naff

No details on weight's

Will look in service book later

Is there no sticker at the bottom of the B Pillar at drivers side?

830kg's at the front so says the B pillar

Out of interest what models are over 901kg's? The diesels?

I can tell you the Estate vRS is 920 Kg

With the vRS that is because they are supposed to be the 2nd heaviest Fabia.

1.4 TSI Twincharger & DSG Gearbox.  Spare Wheel as Standard.

247 mm longer than the Hatch Back vRS and yet supposedly 5 kg lighter.

(but then ballast of 25 kg is bolted to the rear of a Hatch Back.)

Estate Rear Springs are different (stronger) from Hatch Rears because of the longer length, not a greater pay load.

Skoda give that as the same for vRS hatch or estate.

Just dropping a quick message on here to say I bought some H&R lowering springs for £110 from Eurocarparts. They're current £129 on sale and I left in the basket for a few days and received an email with an extra 15% off - bargain!
